Ondřej Rolenc finished forty hundredths behind Slanina and Antonín Haleš took third place. We know in advance that all three medalists will represent us at the upcoming World Cup in Bratislava.
Barbora Dimovová (WINI) dominated in women's kayaking. The kayaker did not find a winner during the race weekend. Dimova defended her title from last year and secured the championship jersey for the upcoming season. "I managed to drive my dream ride. The water in the canal came out and I was exactly where I needed to be. I did a few small mistakes, but I don't think it was anything fundamental, "comments Barbora Dimovová. "It was difficult to defend the title, but I managed to do it and I will be able to wear the jersey of the champion of the republic, for which I am very happy."
Klára Vaňková took second place in a tight fight and Tereza Kneblová (CAYENNE) finished third. "With this race I made the adult national team on kayak and single. I am more than satisfied with the race weekend, "says Kneblová.
Vojtěch Matějíček (WAKATWO) added the first championship gold to his account. "I started first and after the finish I did not believe that this ride could be enough to win. That ride was not good. I jumped three dams and deviated from the track I wanted to be in, “Vojtěch Matějíček describes. "After last week, I was one of the favorites, so I entered the race with certain ambitions. We all made small mistakes and my time to win was enough. "
In a great competition of kayakers, he finished twenty-four hundredths ahead of Mikuláš Zapletal (TONGA). The name Zapletal appeared twice on the medal ranks, thanks to the second of the brothers, Vojtěch Zapletal. He finished for the bronze medal in today's race
"I was in Bratislava. I have to say it's not exactly my course, but I still have a month to make it my course. We have a challenging season behind us. I'm a little tired, but it's my first senior world championship, so it's immediately better, "adds Vojtěch Matějíček.
The European Cup was dominated by Slovenian competitors. Anže Urankar set the fastest time in the kayak finals. The overall second place was taken by Tim Novak and the third place was won by Nejc Žnidarčič. Foreign competitors did not give any hope to the Czech competitors and the Slovenian team once again confirmed the invincibility of its competitors. The fourth place in the overall ranking was taken by Vojtěch Matějíček, who thus won for the Czech scene.
"I like this course. It's a bit similar like the channel in Bratislava, where the World Sprint Championships will take place in a month. That's why we came here to race and train wild water at the same time. I think we did a good job. Now comes the most demanding preparation and at the end of September we will have the biggest race of the season, "describes the winner of today's race, Anže Urankar.
Marie Němcová became the absolute winner in women's singles. She managed to win by an incredible three seconds on the sprint channel. Tereza Kneblová then took second place and Zuzana Dziadková finished third.
